Recycle Right at Woodbury 4-H Club, MN

Just a couple of weeks before the Washington County Fair, Earth on Us provided the Woodbury 4-H Club with Recycle Right curriculum materials and activity supplies for its meeting at Carver Lake Park Shelter.

Despite temperatures climbing into the 90s, club members gathered for the outdoor meeting and had the opportunity to explore environmental stewardship through the materials delivered by Earth on Us.

Using the provided Recycle Right Board Game, club members could work together to sort everyday household items into the correct Recycle, Compost, or Garbage bins. The hands-on activity was designed to encourage conversations about common recycling mistakes and show how simple daily choices can reduce contamination and help protect the environment.

Participants were also invited to scan a QR code and try Earth on Us’s new online Recycle Right Game, allowing them to continue learning after the meeting. Combining the physical board game with the online activity gave youth multiple ways to strengthen their recycling knowledge.

Even in the intense summer heat, the meeting created an opportunity for young people to learn about practical environmental action.

We are grateful to the Woodbury 4-H Club for incorporating Earth on Us materials into its meeting and helping youth discover that recycling correctly is a simple action that can make a lasting difference for our communities and our planet.
